about me

My name is Amy, and I am a Registered Massage Therapist.
My approach is rooted in education and empowerment, ensuring you have the knowledge and confidence to navigate any phase of life with clarity and ease. I believe that understanding your body allows you to make informed choices that truly support your well-being.

Massage is more than just hands on care; it’s about deep, intuitive listening to both your words and to what your body is quietly communicating.

By blending technical skill with this awareness, I trust that each treatment will respond to your unique needs, helping to relieve tension, restore balance, and enhance your overall well-being.

I am here to support you through every transition with compassionate, professional care. Whether you are preparing for birth, recovering postpartum, or simply seeking a moment to reconnect with yourself, I am here to hold space for you, honouring wherever you are in your journey.

education and evolution

my path to massage therapy

Before becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), I spent over a decade working in spas as an esthetician, where I discovered a deep love for caring for people and helping them feel at home in their own bodies. Those years taught me how vital it is to carve out small moments of care and connection in the midst of a busy life.

I still remember the day a longtime client called to cancel her facial after a car accident left her with whiplash. I felt frustrated by my limits, by my inability to offer her the kind of support she truly needed. Over time, I met more and more clients navigating injuries and conditions that stretched beyond what esthetics could offer. Slowly, a deeper calling began to take shape.

I realized I wanted to do more. I craved a richer understanding of the human body and how it moves, heals, and adapts through all the transitions life brings. That curiosity led me to massage therapy, where I found a path that blended my hands-on experience with a whole new level of education, intention, and purpose.

Today, I bring both worlds together: the nurturing touch I gathered  through esthetics and the clinical skills I’ve built through massage therapy. It is an honour to meet you exactly where you are, to hold space for your healing, and to walk alongside you through all the thresholds and in-between places of your journey.

education

I completed my massage therapy training at West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT), where I experienced an intense and immersive blend of academic study and clinical practice.

The program laid a strong foundational understanding of the human body preparing me to begin my journey as a Registered Massage Therapist.
It stretched me both academically and clinically, challenging me in ways I hadn’t expected but it also built something steady inside me: a deep, lasting curiosity about people.

Through each course and every clinic shift, my curiosity slowly transformed into knowledge  My passion for helping others didn’t just grow — it sharpened, deepened, and began to take clearer shape.

WCCMT became a place of transition for me, a space where I moved from wondering to knowing, from intention to action.

Since graduating, I’ve continued to build on that foundation, seeking out advanced training wherever I could — courses and conferences that expanded my skills in supporting pregnancy, postpartum recovery, complex cases, and breast health.

Every new piece of learning has added another layer to the way I work, allowing me to meet each person where they are — and to offer care that is truly specific to their story.

my in-between moment

When labour began with my first daughter, Chloe, I had planned to be at the hospital. It felt like the right move, especially for a first-time birth. But the universe had other plans. By the time we called my midwife to come to the house, she checked my cervix and discovered I was much farther along than anyone had expected. She calmly presented my options: I could either stay at home or head to the hospital. Knowing how quickly I was progressing, she explained there was a real chance I could give birth in the car or even in the parking lot.

In that moment, my intuition became louder than my fear. I chose to stay, trusting the process and the deep wisdom of my body.

It turned out to be one of the most empowering decisions I could have made. Surrounded by my husband, midwives, and doula, I felt fully supported and confident in my choices, knowing I had taken the time to educate myself on all my options.

When I became pregnant with my second daughter, Mila, I planned another home birth— this time with even greater clarity and confidence. I had learned that trusting my body, while staying informed, created the space for the birth experience I truly desired.

Through both pregnancies, I discovered that when intuition and education come together, they form a powerful foundation for making empowered choices.

At Liminal Health, I’m here to help you find that balance — supporting you through every stage of your journey, whether you’re preparing for birth or navigating postpartum — so you can feel nurtured, confident, and empowered to trust your own path.
